Description

The CyberPower UT2200E provides home and office users with reliable battery backup and protects desktop computers, network communication equipment, and other electronic devices from surges, power outages, and other events.

The product is generator-compatible, allowing users flexible application design for power outages. The built-in automatic voltage regulator (AVR) stabilizes the AC signal to provide power at safe voltage levels for all connected equipment without resorting to battery power.

The UT2200E UPS Line-Interactive 2200VA 1320W with 4 Schuko Sockets from CyberPower is a Tower UPS. It features 4 Schuko-type sockets as well as input and output for ethernet cable and telephone cable, protecting the devices connected to it, e.g., router or phone (provided their power supply is also connected to the UPS or a surge protector). Its operation is (VI) Line-Interactive, which continuously adjusts the output voltage through an automatic voltage regulator, protecting against voltage fluctuations and power outages.

This review is about the power (va): 1500 VA

I have had the machine for about 1 year. I am very satisfied (I have the UT220E) with 2 loaded 27-inch Alienware monitors, my PC, and a power strip where I have a loaded 32-inch third monitor, an external hard drive, and speakers. The fan is not as loud as they say, you do hear a very faint sound, but you easily ignore it. Personally, I have it very close to me and it doesn't bother me at all, let's not be so sensitive. It has saved me from power outages 5-6 times and it really lasts as long as it claims! It has never let me down. Regarding power outages, it will make the so-called "beep" sound and thump like a heartbeat, meaning as the minutes pass, the sound starts thumping more frequently. It is quite sturdy and relatively warm since it works for 15 hours a day due to work. The only thing that bothers me is that it doesn't have a screen, but I knew that from the beginning, so I can't consider it a negative.

I have had it since 2018, at first everything was working perfectly, in the last year I realized that even though I had the alarm deactivated, it would still go off normally and when there was a power outage, it would shut down, resulting in me not being able to save my work.

Very noisy. Not suitable for a room. Its fan works constantly (as soon as you plug it in) and it's like having a mosquito in your ears. I had to change its fan with a quieter one so I wouldn't throw it away, but I still have to unplug it to make it stop when I fall asleep.

It was purchased on 18/3/2017 to protect a home DSL modem/router and a single-disk NAS. When the power went out, it lasted for over an hour, comfortably handling this small consumption. However, yesterday (16/3/2019) it started acting up. Without any power interruption, it started making loud beeping noises until it shut down after half an hour (causing the router and NAS to also shut down). The UPS does not charge on its own, so it's going in the recycling bin. Very disappointing for it to only last 2 years with such a small load. Avoid.

It comes with an APC battery! The battery lasted for 2 years with many voltage interruptions.
I have had the UPS for over 5 years.

"Protects the power consumption of 550-650W + 25' LCD for several months without any issues. It responded well the 4 times it needed to intervene, holding for about 3 minutes and notifying with a beep. Recently, it crashed twice on its own. I don't know if it's a battery endurance problem and if it's reaching its load limits. There is no indication to see if the battery has discharged. I can't risk it, so I will get another one with 800VA+ and LED indicator."
