Meet the new generation of Tamron telephoto lenses 2nd Generation! The super-telephoto zoom lens Tamron SP 150-600mm f/5-6.3 Di VC USD G2 for Canon EF combines operational comfort with high-quality image results. The new lens includes better optical performance and faster AF speed, while the VC stabilizer has also been improved.
This new version combines high mechanical and optical performance with quality design and durability. The new SP 150-600mm G2 incorporates three LD (Low Dispersion) elements that neutralize chromatic aberrations.
Reflection avoidance technologies, such as eBAND and BBAR coatings, improve light transmission and suppress internal reflections. Additionally, the MOD (Minimum Object Distance) has been reduced to 2.2m for tele-macro photography.
The USD autofocus mechanism offers fast and accurate focusing performance, while the AF speed has been significantly improved. It also features an improved VC (Vibration Compensation) stabilizer for steady shots.
The lens has a moisture-resistant construction with a front element coated with fluorine for protection against dirt, dust, and moisture. The ergonomic metal construction includes focusing and zoom rings, as well as a removable rotating tripod ring.
The FLEX ZOOM LOCK mechanism allows you to lock the zoom at any position, while there is also a conventional zoom lock switch. An electromagnetic diaphragm is used for more precise exposure control, especially at high continuous shooting rates.
This lens is compatible only with specific Canon cameras that support the electromagnetic diaphragm.
Specifications are collected from official manufacturer websites. Please verify the specifications before proceeding with your final purchase. If you notice any problem you can report it here.
"Sharp" lens, with fast autofocus, much faster than the g1 and equally fast as the Canon 100-400. Additionally, the image quality at maximum aperture (600) has been improved, where the g1 fell behind the competition. Its weight is not excessive, while the build quality, as well as its price, leave no room for complaints.
