The chainsaw is super, lightweight, powerful, nimble, the most convenient for pruning above and below the tree. A major drawback, however, is the carburetor; you change this more often than membranes, now if you catch the warranty it’s fine, otherwise it costs at least eighty. A second drawback is the chain it has on it, it kicks, but this can be solved by putting a Stihl with 60 drivers and the machine shaves. If I were to buy a small pruner again, I would look into some other brand as well and also consider battery-operated to avoid noise and the hassle of starting it.
Very good chainsaw, sturdy construction. I bought it for construction because its size is convenient. The only thing I noticed is that it is a bit more aggressive than I needed because it creates splinters when I cut the plywood. I might need to change the blade from 30 to 25. Overall, it is an excellent machine.
Incredible pruning tool I have in my hands, and the T525 is a decent and good tool, but this specific one is lighter, more agile, and has fewer vibrations!
I have worked with both top pruning tools, this one and the Stihl. In all aspects, the Echo wins except for being more nervous. The Stihl had a smoother throttle and suited me better.
Excellent, small, lightweight, powerful. I come from zenoah-komatsu which is also a fantastic tool. The echo is lighter, more powerful, more versatile, and more fuel-efficient. The best in its category.
Tooool tool!!!! I have another pruning tool of a different brand that is heavier. When I got the Echo carving blade, it felt like an extension of my hand, effortless, lightweight, cuts like paper, fuel-efficient... you don't need anything else.
What can I say.... I have used many chainsaws in my hands. It is the best I have worked with. I have had it for about 1 month. It is worth every penny, even the last cent. Lightweight, comfortable, powerful (it has not jammed anywhere), very well balanced, its cutting is clean and does not hurt...
I believe it is the best on the market
the most powerful and lightweight of all ..2.800kg everything complete with chain blade and full of fuel oil ... cuts wood like a sword with a carving blade, making the cut thin and precise so that the tree is not harmed .. I have already ordered a second one
I have it for a year and it is the best tool out of the 7 chainsaws I have. Even better than the equivalent Stihl. I mainly use it for pruning but I have also cut thick logs. It is my constant companion in the countryside.
The best pruning tool, very lightweight and durable, it neither tires you nor struggles. I own the 2600es (280tes) and the 2511, the 2511 is about 600-700 grams lighter and feels more noticeable during work, two steps above the 2600. However, both are very durable and excel in their work.
Always use a reputable mixing oil, ideally from ECHO, and be careful to use only 2% or a maximum of 2.5%.
For initial use, fill the fuel tank with a little gas every now and then. Then, make several moderate cuts to properly break in the chain and the teeth of the saw, to avoid any sawdust during cutting, and then the real party begins!
Almost 4 tons were cut and sliced with tremendous ease, making clearing a breeze and consuming fuel like it's from another planet!
I am extremely satisfied with its performance and construction so far. The choke pops out easily on the first pull and goes back in smoothly, with a wide opening on both fuel tanks for easy refilling of chain oil and gasoline.
A typical cleaning in certain areas after each use will give you a long lifespan for the saw and its components.
Incredible rigged and balanced little machine, perhaps the ultimate pruning tool in its category. The 5-year warranty shows the manufacturer's immense confidence, even if many who handle it are inexperienced
I bought it 3 years ago, I use it on 600 olives and 400 oranges. It's easy to use, but be careful when using it with one hand, I forgot and it pinched me. Since then, I always wear gloves and pay absolute attention. I would only replace it with something lighter
In the first year, I pruned 150 fairly large trees, 60 years old. Perfect in weight, cutting, and starting. It needs cleaning after work in the filter because it collects sawdust. That's how things should be. And let's not get confused, as the title says, it's a pruning tool, not for logging.
I have had it for a year and it has cut 20 tons of wood. It is the extension of my hand, flawless and trouble-free. It is worth every last euro. Made in Japan forever
Polis expensive machine and I thought it was good. Lightweight. It gets very hot and the plastics bend. Around the exhaust, it melted. Neither the warranty covered the plastics nor the carburetor that broke the first month. The next one also required constant adjustment. Very expensive for so many problems
Purchase made in December 2019.
To tell the truth, I regretted spending over 300 euros, but on the other hand, I'm too lazy to run to the repair shops.
I bought my first Echo in 2004 with a 30-inch blade, a bit heavier, for 250 euros just to try it out. However, I was cutting eucalyptus logs for the fireplace, about 10 tons per year on average. I didn't know the word "maintenance," so I used regular 40-weight oil on the chain and sharpened it once in the fall. I used leftover mixed oil from the outboard motor, always fresh. I never opened the filter or changed the spark plug, of course. In 2016, I paid for a carburetor and learned the basics: 1 part 50:1 fuel mixture and 90 on the chain. The paradox is that it still works, but after three repairs, it's not the same as it used to be. It's been modified, but it still cuts. Overall, I'm satisfied and hope it lasts another decade with just fuel and oil. I pruned olive trees, and it's like a razor, effortless, with 100 octane gasoline, but it also works with regular. I also tried a different brand, which performed similarly in cutting, but I decided not to switch brands for now. Oh, I also had two Husqvarna chainsaws, but they were only good for pruning, not for cutting logs. I want to try the future models in the near future, something like the yachts from the 80s. It does everything and is cost-effective
In my opinion, this particular machine is possibly the best in its category. It is very lightweight, easy to use with one hand, reliable, and very powerful. It is ideal for pruning but also for cutting up to 30cm of wood, such as firewood. I used it for about 180 hours in the first year. Now I no longer count the hours, but the machine is still like new.
I chose it because of its weight and the comments from other users (both on skroutz and other forums and sites) (the corresponding stihl and Husqvarna have no comments).
I used it for pruning olive trees. The trees that were pruned were "plane trees", completely neglected and abandoned. I found myself cutting branches-trunks of 15 and 20 centimeters.
The machine performed perfectly. It is easy to operate with one hand (obviously, I do not encourage anyone to do it, it is dangerous). It stays where you put it, it does not jump around, and its torque is more than enough.
It was my first time dealing with pruning and I enjoyed it.
The chain you provide is sharp and due to carefulness (it never touched the ground) it did not need sharpening even after 150 trees.
The company offers a 5-year warranty ONLY IF you use its own engine oil and chain oil. I don't know how they check if you actually do it, BUT their oils do not cost much more than regular ones.
For someone with technical knowledge, it is obvious to avoid using "cheap" chain oil.
The reason is that it does not wash the chain from the tree residues and it gets clogged.
In addition, the machine is well-designed and it shows. The fuel tanks are made so that when the gasoline runs out completely, the oil tank is not completely empty. This way, the chain will never run out of oil.
Of course, with the factory settings and the oils recommended by the company.
The 4 stars are not 5, because I have not worked with another machine to have a comparative opinion.
I asked the importer and they sent me the technical manual and the initial settings.
I hope I helped.
By far the best petrol chainsaw in this category (pruning). It was purchased after thorough market research and I have no regrets at all. It is very lightweight, easy to use, has a good center of gravity, and does not vibrate. I have it with a 30-inch blade so I can cut logs/trunks in addition to branches. With the 25-inch blade, it is even lighter and has an even better center of gravity. It has been trouble-free so far, and is one of the few purely Japanese ones on the market. Lastly, it is possibly the most powerful in its category - with the highest horsepower to weight ratio.
I think it is one of the best pruning shears! Quite powerful and very lightweight!! No comparison with the cheaper model of Echo!!! I highly recommend it!!
